Key Instagram analytics and creator monetization terms, explained simply.
- Score IA
- Score calculated by InfluenceOS evaluating a profile's overall performance across 5 dimensions (engagement, audience, consistency, growth, authenticity).
- Engagement
- All interactions on a post: likes, comments, shares, and saves.
- Engagement Rate
- Percentage of followers who interact with content. Calculated by dividing interactions by the number of followers (or views).
- Reach
- Number of unique accounts that saw a post. To be distinguished from impressions, which count total views.
- Impressions
- Total number of times a post was displayed, including multiple times by the same person.
- Followers
- Accounts that follow a profile. The number of followers alone doesn't reflect performance: engagement rate matters more.
- Media kit
- Creator's presentation document (stats, audience, rates, collaboration examples) sent to brands.
- Deal (partnership)
- Paid collaboration between a brand and a creator: sponsored post, product placement, ambassador…
- CPM
- Cost per thousand impressions. Common metric for setting sponsored post rates.
- UGC
- User-Generated Content: content created by a user/creator for a brand, often shared on the brand's channels.
- Reels
- Short, vertical videos on Instagram, a key format for reach and discovering new accounts.
- Story
- Ephemeral post (24h) on Instagram, useful for direct engagement and linking to offers.
